I received an encouraging e-mail yesterday from a faculty member considering using our e-learning sessions:

"I was trying to see how I could use it as a teaching tool, and ended up learning a great deal myself. The specificity of the scenarios and how concrete the instructors were in their videos, has been way more powerful and informative then I expected. I personally learned a ton!"

We have enjoyed receiving similar encouraging comments from the 800+ individuals who have used our e-learning sessions so far. We are excited to be only a few months away from releasing our fifth e-learning session More Than Guests which is specifically for Christian college faculty. I believe it will be our strongest session yet, in part because we plan to include short videos by 16+ experts (see right) on over a dozen campuses. We hope to release the session no later than June 1st.

Initial drafts of the session are currently being reviewed by campus leaders around the country. If you would be willing to help with our review team, please sign up or simply hit reply and let me know. We would appreciate your input! It is also a good way to get an early sneak peak at the content if you are considering using the session on your campus.

Ethnic diversity survey for Christian campuses

"The survey questions provided substantial data on what our faculty, staff and students think about ethnic diversity on our campus. ReNew's online reporting system allows us to quickly and easily examine the data and disaggregate it by various groups on our campus. This has been invaluable for our leadership as we seek to grow in this area. I highly recommend this tool."

elearning   "To identify colleges where students are most likely to encounter undergraduates from racial or ethnic groups different from their own, U.S. News factors in the total proportion of minority students, leaving out international students, and the overall mix of groups. The data are drawn from each institution's 2011-2012 school year student body."

Diversity at Christian Colleges: It's About Mission

"A qualitative case study methodology was used to determine what drives four Christian colleges attempting to become more diverse communities and what role their mission plays in seeking the change they desire... analyzing the tension between the institutions' missions as Christian colleges and their desire to become more ethnically diverse..."
